This is the recipe Coffee Gator publishes for this brewer, and it is what Cold Brew Studio opens with when you pick it. It makes about 4 cups, best straight over ice.
How the maker does it
Package/manufacturer instructions cited in reviews: 75g coarsely ground coffee to 1100g (about 1100ml) filtered water in the ultra-fine mesh filter, steep in the refrigerator (12-24 hours recommended; testers found 12h tasted thin/'like tea' and preferred the full 24h). Pour cold water slowly over the grounds to avoid channeling/bitterness; strain out the filter and dilute the resulting brew with water or milk to taste before serving.

The recipe, by strength
Each one fills this brewer as far as it honestly goes. Numbers are for a light roast steeping in the fridge.
| Strength | Ratio | Coffee | Water | Steep | Makes | Drink it |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Everyday | 1:9.5 | 88 g | 836 mL | 18–22 h | about 2¾ cups | straight over ice |
| Strong | 1:7.5 | 88 g | 660 mL | 18–22 h | about 2 cups | with a splash of milk |
| Jet fuel | 1:5.3 | 88 g | 466 mL | 18–22 h | about 1¾ cups | cut with a little water or milk |
| Concentrate | 1:4.5 | 88 g | 396 mL | 18–22 h | about 1¾ cups | mixed 1:1 with water or milk |
If your beans are darker
Darker roasts give up their flavor faster, so they brew at a slightly wider ratio and steep for less time.
| Roast | Ratio | Coffee | Water | Steep in the fridge |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Light | 1:9.5 | 88 g | 836 mL | 18–22 h |
| Medium | 1:10 | 88 g | 880 mL | 14–18 h |
| Dark | 1:10.5 | 88 g | 924 mL | 10–14 h |

How it goes
- Grounds in the basket.
- Water over, slowly.
- Stir once.
- Lid on, into the fridge.
Grind coarse, about the size of coarse sea salt. Find the number for your grinder.
Good to know
Ultra-fine mesh basket filter (not paper) still passes some fine sediment through - decant a second time if you want it fully clear. Otherwise it's a standard coarse-grind immersion steep; the printed ratio (about 1:14.7) is on the weaker/standard side rather than a true concentrate, so many users size up the coffee or steep the full 24 hours for a stronger cup.
This brewer takes about 88 g of coffee at most. Stronger recipes can’t add more grounds, so they use less water instead. That is why every strength comes in under the full 1,100 mL.
